What is 420?
‘420’ The 20th April is internationally recognised in Cannabis culture as the annual day of celebration, advocacy, and protest for cannabis legalization.
The time ‘4:20 p.m.” serves as a traditional time for enthusiasts to partake in cannabis consumption.
420 as a term is now widely used in cannabis culture as a reference to the cannabis plant.
At Cosmic Tree we celebrate 420 with a open day and Party.
Medical Patients and cannabis enthusiasts come together to celebrate this wonderful plant that supports and aid people to live normal lives.
With surprises, games and fancy dress, cosmic tree becomes a hive of activity while everyone celebrates the day.
Where does the term ‘420’ come from?
The term “420” originated in the 1970s with a group of California high schoolers who would regularly meet after school at 4:20 p.m. to consume cannabis.
Now that it is recognised internationally as a date to celebrate cannabis, this gives us another opportunity to raise awareness of medical cannabis and how it is widely used as a medicine across the world.
Cannabis was legalised in the UK in 2018 and Cosmic Tree is the only place in Gloucestershire where legal medical cannabis patients can safely use their medication in public without stigma and discrimination.
Cosmic Tree is also open to anyone who is interested in learning about Medical Cannabis. We can provide support and guidance on accessing a legal medical cannabis prescription.
We also celebrate the plant by also selling a wide range of hemp clothing and bags, CBD products and other related gifts and accessories.
420 is also a day where we celebrate our community.
Even though Medical Cannabis has been legalised for quite some time, medical cannabis patients are still stigmatised for using this medicine. Cosmic Tree is a place where patients can medicate without being judged.
If you are interested in Medical Cannabis, you can meet patients and find out first hand what its like to be a patient and how the plant works for them.
